playing with some of her toys she got for her birthday, a box of wooden vegetables, they are so bright and cute, all the kids love them. She knows they are hers too, she has suddenly become very territorial with her things. Touch her toys at your own risk. I guess being number 4 in the brood, you have to learn to stand up for yourself early on.
my little one turned 1 today! yay! we had a nice day with the family, she got lots of beautiful presents. I’m so relieved we have reached this milestone, which might sound funny, it has been a hard year. I’m so looking forward to the next year coming. Watching her learn to walk and talk, I can’t wait. I’m trying not to wish my time away and enjoy each stage, but I’m just so excited to watch her grow. saying all that though, I’m loving my snuggle bub, she is just gorgeous and I will miss this age. anyway, I’m a rambling mumma tonight. Just wanted to wish my little darling girl and happy first birthday :) we love you sweetness.
this storyboard above is funny. I said to her ‘where is the woowoo T?’ we call dogs woowoo’s, lol. She gets so excited when she sees him, this was her reaction ![]()
I had a maternity shoot for another photographer on the weekend, Michelle F from Inspired Images. She lives in one of my favourite places, the southern highlands of sydney. My Dad lived there for 15yrs, so was nice to go for a drive again. I could so move down there! I would have to get a lot tougher to deal with the cold though, and I thought it was cold here! so anyway, I had a lot of fun. Michelle lives on a beautiful property there, ready made gorgeous location and amazing views. Here is a sneak preview Michelle
I love the first one.
my son on the left and his cousin. There is 10wks between them. It is so nice to get together and watch them play, they get along so well. We all ventured into Manly today, big mistake! it was pouring, we were all standing around discussing where we could go to eat, I turned around and the boys were playing in puddles in this alley. Lucky I had my camera with me. I took a couple of shots but this is the only half decent one. I’m loving the alley though! will have to find some more to play in

Here are my top 5, which I’m excited to share with you, even if your judgement of me will forever be clouded! These are my inspiration songs….
#1: Pais Tropical - Sergio Mendez & Brazil ‘66 - my Dad used to play this album when I was little, I just get an instant high when I listen to this, I can’t help but feel happy
#2: Mas Que Nada - Again by Sergio Mendez & Brazil ‘66 - same as above! I have the CD in my car and I often play it turning the volume right up and me and the kids sing it. Foreign language and all and pronouced incorrectly. but they love it too. (as a side note, their favourite car song is Money Money Money, by Abba. They ask me nearly everytime we get in the car to put it on, it was my favourite Abba song when I was a kid too)
#3: To the Door of the Sun - Al Martino! roflol, even I have to laugh at this one, but I LOVE it! another one of my Dad’s songs, all us kids used to make fun of it, but I secretly loved it. I have the CD in my car too just for this song no, certainly not Quando Quando Quando!
#4: Your my Home - Billy Joel. pretty much anything by Billy Joel I love………actually no it IS everything
and drumroll #5: If I can Dream - Elvis (the legend) cause it is the best song ever sung by the best voice ever
Now make sure you watch the clips there!! it is a prerequisite, I have to share the love………..lol
and I’m not going to tag anyone else this time…….pretty much who I would normally has already done this! but this was fun! Actually, now I think of it, this is brilliant, now I have all my favourite songs right here I can listen anytime ![]()
So busy, I have had a few shoots to proof and then get orders ready. The baby has really been running me ragged too lately, up every hour through the night, so I feel like I’m living on a couple of hours sleep most days. I keep persevering but I really really hope she grows out of this soon, oh to have her sleep through the night, what bliss! I am jealous of my friends who have babies who go to bed at 7pm and wake up again at 7am! I think I would keel over if that happened. I started with a shocking sleeper in my first son, then the next two were wonderful sleepers, and I think I’ve finished with another shocker! lol.
I was so happy with how my trash the dress photos turned out, I thought I’d show a few more in here. I loved this shoot so much, it was such a burst of inspiration. I hope I can do a few more in time. I loved the fashion feel to it.
I also got to photograph a dear little newborn the other day, well not so newborn, she was about 5wks. I love the connection in the first one.
I am going to try and keep up in here more! and also find the time to get around to some other photog blogs more. I recently deleted my flickr account as I found it was taking up too much time and I really don’t have a lot to spare! but as I hosted most of my photos from there, I see now I have huge gaps…hmm. Didn’t plan on that! so will have to go through and fix them up later on!
I love blue eyes! I have said before how excited I get when I turn up to a shoot and find gorgeous blue eyes! lol. All my children have my brown eyes. I took some portraits of a little boy the other day with the most vivid blue eyes, he was just so sweet. Then I thought I might do a little ‘ode to blue eyes’ post, so here are some of my favourites, starting with little R from the other day
ok, well that last little one, hers are a colour all their own, but her’s are my favourite eyes to photograph of all, so I thought I’d add her in too ![]()
for Kerith
here are a couple for you. I hope you like them. I love the one of M, she looks such a little lady now, all grown up.

Two family shoots and a ‘trash the dress’ wedding shoot. I will hopefully have a couple of previews up for you Karen and Kerith, will have to contact you both for permissions first
but for now, I want to show a sneak preview of the wedding shoot. wow, was soooo much fun. I had a great time, a big thank you to my photog pals Cass and Channy and also the Models C and J! you guys were awesome and put up with so much (it was freezing!! and windy, but not one complaint) I will show more later on, these are just a couple.
check out that sunflare baby!
lol
